we are total sell-outs!

no, but yes.
on the solo tour I officially unloaded every piece of merch I had on hand. it's all gone. shirts, posters, postcards, cd's, lp's, cassettes and all. while you may think that's great, the truth is, this means we are currently "out of print" on ALL of our releases. I even gave my personal copy of "All This Heaven" to Jim Sclavunos at Pianos, NYC so even I don't have a copy of it; except for the actual tapes. And so, the big question on my and other peoples' minds is: "WHO WILL RE-RELEASE THE CATALOG?" And, I say, "Aw, man, I don't even know!" We were hoping to have our "let it snow" 7" out for Christmas with a vinyl press of "Freezer-Burn in the Fever-Fields", but some unnameables dropped the ball big time on that so we've parted ways. Fortunately, I still have the tapes for those as well, so maybe these things will hit before winter ends. Thank god we never recorded "rocking around the christmas tree" for the b-side or else it'd be way too holiday-centric, and be ridiculous to release in february or whatever. So, all we can do at this point is offer you links to stream EP's and full lengths (also available for purchase) from apolloaudio.com
we'd say just go to the site and check it out on yr own, but we don't show up in their search engine for some reason, you have to search for "kaleidoscope" which, as you know, is only one-fourth of our band name.
I'm in the process of compiling old cassettes, singles, and comp-tracks for a digital download collection "Obscurio Cabinet" Which should be available online in the coming months. I have to sift through another two shoeboxes full of unmarked fourtrack cassettes and test mixes and countless other medium to get the best selection together. A somewhat daunting task in and of itself, before ultimately digitising and mastering the whole thing; while also beginning the demo process of our new material. Weird Work Ahead!
As above, so below. here are links to listen to, just in case you missed the chance to acquire the actual items. We'll keep you updated here when we find the right people to handle the reissues, or stumble upon a box of money somewhere in our travels.

groovy grazie

well, I must say this was quite a wonderful outing. Although a bit of sadness was hovering about me;the trip was magnificent, the shows went fantastically, and the dynamic both on and off the stage with My brother's band Tennis System kept me in high spirits throughout. This is the first time in a long long time that I have taken to the stage alone, and I really appreciate everyone's kindness, and just really can't thank Tennis System enough for letting me use all of their amps at once, and just for being such a pleasurable bunch of individuals. And of course, much Thanks and Love to my Family and Doug Mo. Love is a many splendoured thing...

danke!

hi! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone involved at BiMA Fest, and especially to everyone who saw our set. We hope you dug hearing the new songs as much as we enjoyed playing them.
Also: coming in September, some very special engagements with (The Sounds Of) Kaleidoscope and Tennis System. In light of the current flux within our camp, we are reserving full band shows for what will most likely be early next year, as we prepare the new material for recording and performance. So, in the meantime, I'll be trucking out west opening for Tennis System solo style. Expect to hear songs you haven't heard in years, and new songs in their final pre- full band-accompaniment phases.

Here are confirmed dates thus far:

Tennis System & (The Sounds Of) Kaleidoscope
September 17- Washington, DC- Rock & Roll Hotel
September 19- Philadelphia, PA- The Barbary
September 20- New York City- Pianos
September 21- New York City- Public Assembly
September 23- Chicago, IL- Crown Liquors
September 24- Chicago, IL- Beauty Bar

keep an eye on this site for updates as they come.

non-alignment pact

Hi! I know, I know, we're not on facebook or twitter anymore. Some people have expressed some very serious concerns wondering "Why?" and "what happened?". Well, I'll tell you: none of these things have anything to do with our music! We've been working very hard at writing new songs and preparing for this awesome festival we are playing in Baltimore, and while there have been some personnel changes, we are very much still alive and smoking cigarettes. No need for fifty 'thumbs-up' clicks on that info! We're just bringin it close back to ourselves and doing what we need to do to bring you the best representation of what we are doing and we really truly feel that this webpage is all we need to communicate that with you. In the meantime, you can still find all of our music thus far on apolloaudio.com and at soundcloud.com to keep you rocking- even if we are sandwiched into your itunes with Gloria Estefan irony jams and whatever else you haven't deleted yet even though you hate hearing it every time it comes on.
And we've been out in the sun, the trees and the grass, and just reconnecting with all the wonderful things in life that you just can't download for inspiration. We hope you will continue to look here for updates, and show info postings, and should you find yourself longing for dialogue, you can always reach us via email or phone, or through the postal system- our preferred method by far. We love you!
Your anti-homogenous interface system minstrels,
